Deep Etching & Sandblasting

Custom Deep Glass Etching & Sandblasting in Las Vegas

Permanent, tactile depth created through controlled abrasive blasting. Surface frost, medium etch, deep carving, and multi-stage dimensional work for residential, commercial, and hospitality projects.

The Technique

Carved Into the Glass.
Not Printed On It.

Deep glass etching uses controlled abrasive blasting to physically remove material from the glass surface — creating permanent depth, shadow, and texture that cannot be wiped away, peeled off, or faded. Ultimate Glass Etching LLC, based in Las Vegas, Nevada, specializes in this handmade process for residential, commercial, and hospitality projects.

Every piece is produced to your approved specifications. From a subtle surface frost to a multi-stage dimensional carving, the depth, detail, and finish depend on the glass type, artwork complexity, and production requirements confirmed before fabrication begins.

Common Questions

Deep Glass Etching: FAQ

Surface frosting creates a uniform milky finish with minimal depth — suited for privacy applications and simple decorative effects. Deep etching physically removes more material, creating visible tactile depth that catches light and shadow. Multi-stage deep carving goes further, producing dimensional artwork with layered depth levels. The right approach depends on your design intent and application.

Most standard flat glass types can be sandblasted, including annealed, heat-strengthened, and laminated glass. Tempered glass can also be etched in many applications. Material suitability is reviewed before production because some deep carving applications require specific glass types and thicknesses. We confirm this during the quote process.

Yes, for suitable designs. Portrait and fine-art glass etching requires high-quality reference artwork and may involve adjustments to ensure the design translates well to the sandblasting process. Very fine details may need simplification. We review artwork before quoting and will flag any concerns before production begins. View our glass etching portfolio to see examples.

Every project is quoted individually. Pricing depends on glass dimensions, thickness, glass type, artwork complexity, etching depth, number of blasting stages, quantity, specialty finishing, mask preparation, packaging, and shipping requirements. We do not publish fixed pricing because no two projects are identical.

Both options are available. Ultimate Glass Etching may source the glass depending on project requirements. A partner glass company or fabricator may supply it, or you — or your contractor, glazier, architect, or glass shop — may supply the glass. Glass sourcing is discussed and confirmed as part of the quote process. We do not install glass.
